We used a new fur on the grey fella, and sorta kinda forgot how LONG it was... so he's in his winter woolies. Interestingly enough though, it makes him look rather puffed up, which is kinda cute. And that sour grapes guy... that guy... *shakes a fist* The camera does NOT appreciate how eye-wateringly vibrant his colours are, so it was a significant photoshop rumble to try and get them looking as close to the way they truly are as possible.
At any rate, as always they're full articulated with joints (not wire), and can be posed pretty much any way you can imagine. They can even hang from things by their tails. The head and feet are cast in resin from our original sculpts, and its worth noting that these guys have some of the last batch of gen 1 basilisk feet (yes, the ones we destroyed accidentally). They're vegan friendly, and come with a little loop sewn at the base of their tail so you can pin then to things, be it your bag, coat, hat, scarf etc.
These guys are awesome! I totally missed the grey one, but thought about getting the sour grapes one... I just ended up waiting too long. I guess I'll have to keep an eye out for any more basilisks that pop up before they're already sold
Trust me, if it was that simple we'd have done it. Even if it were possible we really don't want to make a mold from a cast if we can help it. The difference wouldn't be immense, but anytime you make a copy of a copy you lose a little bit of detail. Not to mention, the feet are bubbled and strangely...expanded in places. So adding more clay would be less than helpful. They look like the feet of a dragon with bubonic plague. :S Cheers though!
Very well done
Either way. LOVE these!
Cheers though!
