Blue Scugog by WormsandBones Blue Scugog by WormsandBones
Slowly getting back into the swing of things after the loss of my cat, which, needless to say threw us off schedule a bit.

Blue + Scugog = Bluegog?

This is probably the last pre-made Scu we'll have available until ComicCon in march.
Unfortunately it was tough to photograph, and didn't come out particularly well but what APPEARS to be black fur is actually black tipped navy blue. His horns aren't brown either, and I have no idea why they seem to look that way! They're a range of greys, with a micaceous oxide patina that makes them sparkle.

Anyway, this guy's big enough to be a scarf but can also curl up into a fairly tight bundle. He's made completely poseable with ball joints, so not only does he have a realistic range of movement he's also nice and sturdy, and won't wear out with frequent repositioning. His pelt is vegan friendly faux fur, and he's got a hand sewn scale belly too.
He's roughly 30" long, and stands about 13" tall when standing comfortably.

Sold, thank you :iconlilmissdoeeyes:!
cugog & his design belong to Worms n' Bones, as always.

I think this one and the Fire Scugog are my favourites, but this one slightly beats the fire one in my opinion.
I just love the colour blue and I love the colour placements on this Scugog, it just looks perfect to me.

I may have to buy one of your creations at some point and would probably want mine to look just like this :p

I just love how expressive these dudes can be, what with their extreme pose-ability and meticulously sculpted features. One of these day I am going to have to get me one. They just look like too much fun, fun I don't want to miss out on. :XD:

And then I'm sad, because cute fuzzy creatures of the feline variety shouldn't hurt my wallet so much. It has to be illegal somewhere.

Thank ye! We're still a little surprised how many people like Scugog, given he's not a traditional lookin' dragon.
Unfortunately we're not accepting anymore customs at this point... and the custom system is likely going to change quite a bit when we reopen.

Well they wont tell you everything they use as that's part of their business I can give you an idea of what to expect.
My little voodoo I got from them was befor they changed over to their casting system but it's still shouldn't be too diffrent (if anything the new stuff is more sturdy).

The fur is made of faux fur, and the head, feet and horns are made of hard resin. I'm not sure if they changed this but the fur around the head is glued (nicely) to the sculpt.

I wouldn't suggest one of these for 99% children. However if you have a child that is gental and sweet, they can be a fun buddy.

There's actually a little more to them internally. If all you do is glue the bits together, you're not going to end up with something that's sturdy enough to survive long-term. Yours is also an original, which means its assembled differently than the casts.
This guy is also articulated. :) But no, these are obviously NOT for babies!

Like I said 99% of kids I wouldn't give them any of these.
I know there are a same percent of kids thatbare nice, like me, I still have most of my toys from when I was a kid and they don't even look like they were used. Though I know I wasn't the avarage kid o.o

I'm curious how do you hold the heads to the fabric now? Or is that something you'd have to kill me for if you told me >w>?

Actually Bones' soon-to-be-4-year-old nephew has had a squiggle dragon for almost a year now, and that poor thing gets SO beaten up... dragged around, rubbed on things, face-plant on concrete, and he's still fine. The only real issue you have to worry about is paint scratching. The casts are quite durable. :)I'm guessing the original question however was more about possible toxicity, to which the answer is, don't eat them. :P They are not made to go in anyone's mouth.

You were WAY nicer than the average kid to your toys... I have some old My little ponies, and they look like they've been through the wars. I lost my optimus prime dropping him off a bridge into a river (in fairness, I was SURE that parachute would work...).

Is slightly different depending on each cast, the shape of the body and the range of motion we want to give it. Suffice it to say, it ain't hot glue though. :P

Yeah I'm mostly afraid of either the paint chipping or someone managing to break a scugog horn and it then having a sharp point. That or shattering the in-side frame due to tugging and just rough beatings...Or getting ahold of sissors and giving them a hair cut (my sister did that to her barbies). I put nothing past kids *eye twitch* they have scary powers of discturction.
I dunno I just think they are to expensive to let my non existant kid kill in any kind of way >>;

Yeah I know, the only reason I don't have twice the amount of toys saved for my kid is due to me getting rid of all the ones I didn't have fond memories of playing with myself. Still the toys I got rid of I was able to sell or donate because they were still nice...I hope any kids I have are just as nice >>;

Yeah I never assumed hot glue, but then I don't know anything about sewing,
so it's all a magical world for me~
