Whew! This is thus far, about the most complex commission we've undertaken, both technically, and in terms of design details.
Blood, sweat and tears... and several test patterns, maquettes to work out balance/proportions, not to mention product shuffling. NB: Just because an ink says waterproof, doesn't necessarily mean it is.

Anyway, this majestic beast belongs to :iconannubrius: and is both her namesake & design. Iic'horrin, the species, belong to her as well, and she's done some pretty amazing drawrings of 'em too.

Annubrius (the sculpture, not the person...) stands about two feet tall, and let me tell you, that tail just goes on forever. She's armatured for poseability, with original sculpted parts and follow-me eyes. Hand painted, sewn, dyed, sealed, and finished with sanded porcupine quills that make her something less than cuddly. She can pose both as a biped & as a quadruped. :)

This was a totally amazing project to work on, and we're thrilled we have the opportunity to do so. :D

Annubrius - character & design belong to :iconannubrius:.

Do you use a polymer clay for your dolls? I would like to start a similar design, and I use polymer clay that hardens when baked and painted. Thanks.
