Description

My new favorite thing, right here.
This guy.
This is the guy.

Eusmilus sicarius, my favorite saber (okay false-saber). This guy is probably the most labour intensive sculpt we’ve done in a while (so much for him being a quickie), but we wanted to get as close to the actual anatomy as possible in the time frame we had. Obviously some of his overall shape is speculative, but having had to piece things together from a number of bad photos of incomplete skeletons we’re pretty proud of him.

He’s roughly 15" long, and about 5.5" high standing on all fours. He’s got some crazy balance going on though, and can stand on his hinds OR his forefeet without too much trouble.

He’s armatured from teeth to tail for realistic poseability, and durable as hell. I actually dropped him from standing height onto concrete (don’t ask, distracted by a bird, long story) with no ill effects. Not that we recommend letting him do a faceplant on purpose.

All his boney bits are cast resin from our original sculpts, based on a number of partial skeletons of eusmilus, with a few gaps filled in by different nimravid skeletons when the eusmilus fossils we needed weren’t available.

These guys will be at Fanexpo with us in a few different colour morphs (going to do one with more of a bronzey-brown ‘tar pits’ type colouration for sure), and you can take ‘em home for $150 each. Custom colourations can be ordered for $175 - just drop us a line. wormsandbones@gmail.com
