Since we'll be taking a number of different kinds of bats to a variety of cons this summer, Bones had to work up a prototype pattern. And since the prototype pattern was just sitting there, all sad and unfinished... we decided to make it a little wee original bat. Named Ultramaureen. Hur hur.
Maureen is a bit of a sass pot, (we couldn't get ANY pictures of her where she wasn't sticking out her tongue) and folded up fits in your hand. Her wings are poseable, and she has an acrylic armature that allows her head and feet to move, as well as allowing her wings to stretch up and down. She's hand sewn, hand sculpted & painted, blah blah blah... you know the drill by now. While our future bats will be cast in editions, Ultramaureen is a one of a kind and will not be cast. Which is probably good... I don't think bats are supposed to have little face-tusk things.
Unfortunately not all our homemade horrors are perfectly emotionally stable upon completion, and Maureen has a bit of an...attachment issue. Easily enough solved however; just pin her to your shirt, bag or coat and take her with you. No really, please...take her. :S
Available to a good home for $75 + shipping. Just drop us a note or an email if you'd like to take Ultramaureen home.
ZOMG! I'm sure you saw I made a posable bat a couple weeks ago, I LOVE how you guys did the feet!!! I curled mine under as well and couldn't figure out how to make them grippable so I added a long prehensile tail ^_^ What a little cutie, I adore the fur colors and nose as well!!
A long tail is definitely a neat idea. :3
